The Tongass was a century old last year. The forest, of course, is much older, but it was in 1907 that President Roosevelt made  this great land a National Forest.  Thousands of dedicated souls have saved vast stretches of this forest.  This year, SEACC launched a campaign to save the last of the really valuable wildlands.  We need you so that the Tongass is wild and magnificent when our great-grandchildren celebrate the Tongass’ bicentennial in 2107.
