There are many reasons to love this place.  Its fish, wildlife and wild places inspire us all and are the roots of Southeast Alaska’s unique quality of life. 

Whether you experience its wonders many times a day or only once in a lifetime, please tell us how the Tongass’ wild places have shaped your life.

Winning essays will be published in the 2010 SEACC tide books and on www.ilovethetongass.org

Deadline:

August 31. (We have a winner!  Check back in October to read the winning essays.  Thanks to everyone who entered an essay.  They were all great!)

Word limit:

750 words maximum, but feel free to submit shorter essays.
