Seclusion Bay

An extensive and intricate coastline of estuaries, coves and bays outlines the rich forest of East Kuiu Island attracting many recreation users, including guided kayak expeditions.  Vast tidal flats make the estuaries of east Kuiu Island valuable habitat for black bears.  East Kuiu also has high value fish habitat that produce significant wild coho and pink salmon runs.  Subsistence hunters from Kake, Point Baker, and Port Protection benefit from East Kuiu Island’s healthy deer populations.
