Vixen Lake, Cleveland Peninsula

Located north of Ketchikan, the Cleveland Peninsula is a 200,000-acre arm of the mainland that supports a wide diversity of wildlife.  Healthy populations of mountain goats, black and brown bears, Sitka blacktail deer, wolves, marten, and wolverines, as well as waterfowl, wild salmon and trout call this mainland peninsula home.  Offering outstanding remote recreational opportunities, the Cleveland Peninsula is heavily used by hunters, trappers, hikers, fishers, and subsistence users.
