Lifelong Alaskan Hank Lentfer lives his life with the seasons, and he writes in the winters. His latest book, “Raven’s Witness: The Alaska Life of Richard K. Nelson” recently won the 2020 Banff Mountain Book Award Winner – Grand Prize for its exploration of naturalist Richard K. Nelson’s life. Called Nels by his friends, Richard’s life was a unique cultural bridge between Indigenous cultures and western culture as well as a persistent, courageous labor for the health of the wild flora and fauna of Southeast Alaska.
Russell Heath, a previous SEACC Executive Director, seasoned activist, world traveler, and novelist recently released his second novel: “Rinn’s Crossing.” A pulse-pounding political thriller set in Southeast Alaska, this novel holds a unique place in the world as a fictitious exploration of the incredibly real political machinations around timber, the Tongass, and the lives of the people who live here.
Both books will be available for sale! Click Here The Day Of The Event To Attend!
