“Fear of water” by Olivia Skan

Fear of Water
(Limerick)

Wet water is everywhere,

Oh my goodness! It’s in my hair,

I know I’m not a witch, but still it tries,

To drown me, melt me, and water my eyes,

How the sight of water triggers my fears,

And causes me to shed the tears,

The long lost memory comes to be fresh,

As I push down the drear and all the stress,

I dearly hope I can look past my fear,

For waiting around won’t get me anywhere.
