Hunker Down for Climate Change with Janine Gibbons

When crisis strikes, we have to get creative. Coronavirus is forcing us to reimagine a future already made uncertain by climate change. That's why we need your help getting creative about fighting climate change. Hunker Down for Climate Change is an online event series that lets you fight climate change from your living room, having fun and making art that creatively expresses the need for climate action now. Will you join us on Wednesday, July 15th at 5:30 p.m.?

SEACC is honored to be hosting this event with Janine Gibbons. A prolific artist, Janine works in many mediums from jewelry to storybook illustrations, all inspired by her Haida and Scandinavian heritage. She recently completed a mural in honor of Elizabeth Peratrovich in her hometown of Petersburg. Janine will show us how to use mural and signboard techniques to express our own inner strengths and create our own designs. Come prepared with your favorite painting or drawing supplies!

So will you get creative on climate change with us?
