We have exciting news this spring: SEACC is moving! In the last few years, our ranks have grown along with our program work. So, like fledgling robins in spring, we have gradually outgrown our nest at 224 Gold Street and are taking flight to new digs!
This past week we closed on a bright, airy, spacious new office space at 2207 Jordan Avenue in Jordan Creek, near the airport in Juneau.
The new space will give our hard-working staff some much-needed elbow room, as well as better light, nicer views, more private and small group spaces for meetings, and more parking! The new location will give visitors both from Juneau and other Southeast communities greater ease of access to drop in and say hello, given the proximity to the airport and ferries, as well as more parking, and easier access for those with mobility limitations. We will be moving and settling in during the month of April and look forward to sharing our new space with you during a “housewarming” party early this summer! Stay tuned for the date.
The decision to leave our Gold Street home was not made lightly. We are deeply grateful to the forward-thinking SEACC board members who, years ago, initiated the purchase of our current building, and to the generous major donor who anonymously helped pay it off. With the support of both our terrific board and the original anonymous donor, we have been able to leverage that incredible original gift to purchase our new space.

The address is 224 Gold St. We will be grilling up burgers and veggie fare, and enjoying the music of folk instrumental duo, ‘The Chuzz,’ aka Charles Sidlinger and Chase Baldwin.
